این مستند به کارگردانی وحید سعیدی و نویسندگی احمد رنجبر، با هدف واکاوی موضوعات مطروح شده در سریال آقازاده به کارگردانی بهرنگ توفیقی ۱۳۹۹ ساخته شده است و هر بار یکی از پرونده‌ها در آن زیر ذره بین قرار می‌گیرد؛ گفت‌وگو با چهره‌های سیاسی و اجتماعی درباره آقازادگی و نیز مصاحبه با بازیگران سریال، دیگر محورهای اصلی هر قسمت هستند؛ مراحل شکل‌گیری سریال، بازتاب رسانه‌ای آن، نظرات مردم درباره آقازاده‌ها و غیره بخش‌های دیگر قسمت اول این مستند را تشکیل می‌دهد؛ با توجه به اینکه قسمت های پایانی سریال آقازاده در حال توزیع است، سازندگان بوی خون در نظر دارند دو قسمت از آن را در هر هفته توزیع کنند؛ بنابراین احتمال دارد علاوه بر یکشنبه ها، چهارشنبه ها نیز شاهد این مستند باشیم؛ نخستین قسمت از سریال آقازاده با طراحی، نویسندگی و تهیه‌کنندگی حامد عنقا و کارگردانی بهرنگ توفیقی جمعه ششم تیر ماه ۹۹ در شبکه نمایش خانگی توزیع شد.
